Coaching primarily focuses on personal or professional development, empowering individuals to discover their own solutions, clarify their goals, and maximize their potential. Coaching is often future-oriented, helping clients set and achieve specific goals. EMERJ is here to support you in creating action plans and holding you accountable.
Consulting centers around providing expertise and specialized knowledge to address specific challenges or projects within your business. Consultants offer clients direct advice, solutions, and strategies based on experience and expertise, often providing actionable steps to achieve desired outcomes.

You need a coach if you want help:
organizing your thoughts
creating a practical and effective plan
prioritize goals and tasks
being more accountable for following through on tasks
maintaining high motivation even in the face of difficulties
You need a consultant if you want:
business advice and entrepreneurial experience
to understand the basics of business planning, operations and marketing
to find ways to manage and follow-up on your business success
to gain expertise in integrating organizational culture or leadership principles
If you want help in both areas, you need both coaching and consulting. I strongly encourage my clients to use me as a coach-consultant, the best of both worlds.
In all cases, I will:
Ask thought-provoking questions to stimulate you to look at things in new ways
Really listen to what you say. Not only to the surface content of what you are saying, but also listening for the patterns, beliefs and feelings behind content
Give honest feedback on what I observe
Assign you “homework” to do between sessions

Our clients fall into three categories:
The first type of client is one who already has a business and wants to grow it or expand to new areas.
The second type of client is just getting started in a new business, but knows exactly what business they want to be in.
The third type of client has several ideas for businesses, but isn’t sure yet which one (or which combination) will work best for them, or if there’s something they haven't thought of yet that might be the best fit.

Effective coaching is all about connection. That’s why I like to schedule a discovery session with potential clients to determine if working together is an appropriate fit. So, before you say "yes,” you will actually experience a coaching session. The strategy session is complimentary and does not push or pressure you to work together.
As your coach you can expect me to...
Be a partner in bringing out the best, the deepest, and the truest in you
Provide safety, encouragement and support; an environment in which you can relax and explore
Respect the confidentiality of the agreements we make
Expand your view of what is possible and encourage new insights
Give you input, straight feedback and operate as a sounding board
Listen carefully to what you say and ask questions that increase awareness
Be an on-going resource for you in achieving your goals

If you are interested in beginning the coaching process, please schedule a discovery call to further explore the details of the coaching relationship.
It depends upon your needs and preferences, but typically I work with clients intensively for a minimum of 3 months and then transition to periodic coaching on as as-needed basis.
- 09
Our month to month coaching requires a 3 month commitment. If within the first month of our relationship you show up for the calls and participate fully in the coaching process, kindly let me know this is not working for you and I will discontinue your upcoming services. However, a lot of time and customization goes into our coaching process so our fees are non-refundable for services that have already been completed.
